Our Story

A Gathering of SoulsBound by Words

In the heart of Mumbai, where the echoes of ghazals once filled every corner, a dream took shape — a dream to reignite the flame of Urdu in young hearts.

Bazm-E-Ahbab Foundation® was born from this very dream. Registered as a Section 8 Company under the Companies Act, 2013, we are a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the rich tapestry of Urdu language and its timeless literary traditions.

Our journey began not in boardrooms, but in mehfils — intimate gatherings where poetry flows like water and every verse carries the weight of centuries.

Our First Mehfil

The foundation’s inaugural event, Shaam-e-Urdu, was held on 21st February 2023 at Dadar, Mumbai — a magical evening that marked the beginning of our mission.
